Another vintage rescue in progress
« on: August 01, 2012, 09:05:50 PM »
I've been lurking on the forum for a couple of months just soaking up the experience and knowledge available here.  I found an orphan '73 CB500 that looked like a good bike to begin with.  It is mostly unmolested and needing a lot of cosmetic rejuvenation.

It's to far gone to restore and my plan is a low budget rider.  The Big Brown Truck is beginning to stop on a regular basis and I've laid in a supply of scotch brite pads and buffing compound.  Thanks for all the tips so far.  I hope to meet with some of the other members North of the San Francisco Bay Area.
