Ya see boys, that's Aussie ingenuity for you, you make a product, sell it for mega-bucks to rich Americans, then get them to finish it off before they can show their mates, their mates see it and say "Holy Crap, that looks peachy" and buy more!
Why waste your time and spend huge sums tooling up when you can get someone else to do it for you? Ha ha, only kidding, I've ever only seen the FZR400 based bike at a show many years ago and while Ian is a real "mad scientist" and is continually inventing new things to sit the tradional engineers on their asses, but the bike didn't excite too many of us over here, I always thought the frame was spindly, and it's only a tiny bike?
At the same time that brilliant New Zealander John Britten was building the worlds sexiest V twin racer, that was technically light years ahead of Ians stuff, and much better engineered. Compare the two and you'll see what I mean! Sadly britten died way too young (cancer) before his dream could be totally realised. cheers, Terry.
