New to me cb350F
« on: August 02, 2012, 11:18:53 AM »
Picked up a really nice 74 cb350 F _ had tool hit owners manual and even some very old original spark plugs boxes under the seat. Bike is pretty nice , looks to have been repainted.
The red is a shade off from what I have seen as the stock red of that year. Also the tank pinstriping is all white instead of orange and white.

It is running on 3 cylinders now and I plan on ultrasonicing the carbs as soon as I put my gt250 carbs back together this evening.
I have heard alot about these carbs being a PITA because they are so small. Any truth here> ?

Would like to hear what you guys have to say about this bike.

Great bike and the carbs are fine. Just clean them out well and they'll provide years of service. Make sure you have a good battery in there too!

Post pics and congratulations!

My CB500 has the tool kit and owners manual.  The tool kit is unbelievable. Unlike things that come with todays bike you could actually take the bike apart with what they provide.  Wouldn't want to but you could.

This is so true! I actually commuted to school and back during college, put 15,000 miles on it in the last 2 years. I only had the under seat tool kit because of my living situation the whole time.

It was tedious at times, but did most all my maintenance with it!
Not putting miles on your bike is like not having sex with your Girl Friend so she'll be more desirable to her next Boy Friend.
