What kind of wheels???
« on: August 12, 2012, 11:21:21 AM »
Bought a 550F the other day and came with mag wheels. PO thinks they may be Lesters or knock offs, I do not see anything on them. What are these and do you want them?!

Bike also has twin rotors on front.  You may think I'm crazy, but I may want to go back to stock on this.
The bike also came with a sidecar [that I don't want] and a titled frame [that I want to sell].

Looks very interesting....straight swap with existing 550k forks? If doesnt cost arm and leg, may be interested. Thanks.

I thought you were going for 400f...I guess any thing will do if there is money to be made?

Money to be made? HA! Maybe if I sold anything. Haven't found the right 400F...yet.

Back to topic, yes straight swap is possible. PO use to race it at Texas World Speedway years ago.

The race motor spun a bearing and was replaced. There are bolts that are wired from racing including the fork drain plug and oil housing bolt.
The side car is a Sputnik, imported from Russia. Not here at the house now, pics tomorrow.

Those look like CB750 calipers, too.

How much would you want for the wheels? Is there rear an 18" or 16"?

I'd be very surprised if those aren't Lesters.  The lip, paint, and spoke design all match my set.  We'll find out for sure when the rear comes off!

Yes, the front has 750 calipers and yes, 18" rear. You guys are good!
Plan to pull them off this week.

I'm not good at telling what is what but I like. May I be first in line for these wheels?

Do you have spoke wheels to trade?
