Are you talking about the harley riders that require the whole lane as weaving space while they try to get moving? ;D

And the same ones who get to a curve in the road, stop, get off, walk it around the curve, get back on, and shoot up the straight to the next one! (I guess this is why Toms River, New Jersey is so infested with harley guys - because there are barley any "good" roads.

cheers - will

It's these same people riding a full-dress H-D that I see taking off from a stop, dragging their feet and off balance when their feet should already be on the floorboards. See these guys? The ones that are putting their feet down too early before a stop sign, again dragging, off balance, about to drop it...gonna stop that hog with your boots, buddy?

They're everywhere!  I'm always talking to myself "Come on buddy, pick your feet up!  Come on, put them on the floorboards!" when they drive past.  I guess they think if they lose their balance at 5 mph and their foot is down, they can save it.  As soon as the bike starts to move, my feet are on the pegs.  The other day I watched a guy pull out of a gas station into traffic with one hand in his lap, "looking cool".  He overshot his lane and almost crossed the center.  Dumb ass.
My dog loves me for the person I try to be.  Either that or he's hungry.

It's too bad that many Harley guys still snobs Honda guys, especially since 35 years ago, Harleys have so many Japanese parts on them that they're going metric.

i tend to get snobbed not by the harley riders, but by the rice burners......i put my hand out while im going by and get no love back from the rice burners....no love at all.....most of the harley riders that go by me hang the arm out when they go by....the chopper folks though, thats another story....we have a few orange county chopper guys here in town....they wiz by me like im invisible, yet i still see them as they pass by looking at my bike out of the corner of thier eyes...they cant help but look "wow gee, something out of the ordinary...what is that? ooop! better look away im too cool for him, but what the hell was that?"

which reminds me, i hate it when i give another motorcycle rider the big arm out, MC "Brothers in bikes" wave when riding by and get nothing in return. You know they see ya, they arent signaling or switchin gears cause were both on a straight away, how come that is, you guys ever notice that? Some dudes just dont give the love back....sob sob...ill get over it.

just about everyone around here waves back or at least nods if their hands are busy.

most of the HD riders are older riders that didnt buy the bike just for the image.  They actual know what their doing:)

around here its the crotch rockets that seem to attract the noobs.  lots of kids with loaded parents is my theory.  you can tell they just dont get it.  They are riding there trying to look their coolest on their plastic fantastic but you can see that they dont know a thing about the bike or how to REALLY ride it.

My theory is that those riders view the bike as another form of transportation or something to ride.  They don't understand the fact that when you and it become one is when you both have fun.  Learn the bikes specific vocabulary and it will learn yours.  Trust it and it wont fail you.  It is you when you ride and you are it.

They just mistake your old Honda for a Harley. They don't know any better.

Around here it's exactly opposite. If they're on a Harley they won't even look at you.

I can give you a little insight on this subject, as I am one of those that don't respond to every bike "driver" that waves at me.

I am a Honda snob, plain and simple, and mildly anti-social.

I also think that if I wave back back at every lane swerving, foot dragging, person on a bike it obligates me to stop at the scene of the accident, or to go to the funeral, and all I wanna do is ride.

That's all... just ride...
