rear brake arm bolt...
« on: August 20, 2012, 04:58:04 PM »
Sorry, another thing... I've been through all my bolts and I can't find one to fit the rear brake lever arm. The one that actually mounts to the wheel and actuates the brake shoes. Anyone know the size on a K6 750. Thanks.

The actuator arm bolt is a splinned cam as part of the brake-plate assembly. The end of the arm attaches to the actuator rod with a simple pin centered by the rod and adjusted with a spring and cam-type nut. The rod then connects to the pivot near the swing-arm pivot.  Do you mean the shouldered bolt with a flat head that holds the brake-stabilizer bar to the brake-plate?...........If so, that same bolt was used on thousands of bikes and numerous models.......it may be available from HONDA.

The arm that the rod connects to, the part that the rod actually moves with the splined bit. There's a threaded hole at the top of the arm to secure the arm to the brake plate. It would be better if I knew the actual terms for these parts! Complete tear down and rebuild and this is the only bolt I somehow lost..
