Been a while since I posted. Got the pieces back from the sandblaster (1st pic) and they are already at the painter. Got the painted frame back this past Monday (2nd pic). I have primed and painted the small parts that will go back into the unit. The tins will be back from the painter in January. The chrome will be back in mid-January. More pics as the project develops.

The plan is to do the front, back and top metal flake silver. Sides metal flake green. That will match the Texaco Sky Chief colors on the door signs and globe.

You should have it done in KO candy blue/green since I couldn't convince you to paint the K1 that way ;D

That's going to look sharp!  Do you have the Sky Chief globe pictured?

Hi Jerry...yes, the globe in the pic is the one I have for this pump. Should look cool with the silver / green metal flake.

Just started to put the painted parts back onto the pump frame. Chrome and tins should be done by end of January.

Should have taken pictures last night. I went to a new years eve party at a friends gas pump shop. He has 8 or so in the pool room, neon and porcelain signs, cans bottles, lubesters air stations, so much it's hard to see it all.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

This one is in eastern Oregon.  I first laid eyes on it about 25 years ago.  When I get over that way every year or so, I half expect it to be gone because somebody snarfed it up, but it is still there.

Yesterday I got the windows and ad glass in the doors. Today I got the doors on and aligned. All that is left is to put on the hose, nozzle and plug it in. I had to wash out the background color to show the green...I need a better camera.

Thanks Stev-o...it was nice to restore something different, but still used in the shop. In other words, I don't think I would want to restore a washing machine  ;D
