Blackie 73 CB750K Resto
« on: September 07, 2012, 07:52:51 PM »
My SOHCs have been neglected so far this year.  I got a bit done on my CB900Cs that seem to be reproducing like gerbals!  But now I'm trying to get a bit done on the little guys before the weather turns.   I picked up this 73 CB750K just to ensure I'll never get all these bikes done!  As with most of my bikes, this is going to be restored as close to original as is practical.  It turns over with good compression and there's very little rust other than the seat pan.  I'm about to do the carbs and hopefully get her running in a week or so.

Of course I have a question..  The side stand lays the bike way too far over.  It is not a shock or fork issue.  Pictured are the stand and it's mount.  One or other is not as Honda planned it.  Which one is damaged?

Thanks for looking!
Brian
