I'm kinda in the same spot. I have a 72750 and I have been tossing up the idea of hard bags. So I drove 4 hours to go them, spent 125.00 bucks cleaned them up,not painted yet, and was gonna powdercoat the chrome frames black as to hide the rust and damage. On the shelf they sit. Why? This year I added 2into1 exhaust on either side, they end under my footpegs, I like the look and they are loud, replaced stock bars and mirrors with black clubmans and black bar end mirrors I also replaced the tires and went with a DS tire from Shinko, they are the 705's. So I promised to paint the bags a matching color and not leave them white,so I found a powdercoater here in town, and rumor has it he's a rip off, I also found a painter, and I wanna change my color from red to Chrysler Burnt Orange, and add a couple of Honda wing decals and clear over them. I put some short shocks on and I mounted one side of the racks/brackets to get a visual,I don't like it.UGH! I think the short shocks kill the look with the bags. Yesterday I traded a 750 frame for an older production Kerker header, he is still searching for the can,he has it,just can't remember where. This guy has tons of goodies! So that's my prob, ever evolving ever changing my mind, do I just paint everything, or not ways my money and just paint the bike.
