1977 Honda SuperSport Worth
« on: September 18, 2012, 07:42:20 AM »
I have been using this site for a while for tips and it is great. I have been restoring a 1977 Honda 550f SuperSport for about two years now. I attached a before and after picture as well. I keep getting offers to sell it but I am reluctant to sell. I was hoping to get some input on how much it might would be worth. It might help me decide to keep it or use the money to invest in another project.

Also I have been trying to do research to know more about this model. Is there a good resource to find information on production numbers and such?

Thanks for any help.

in the PNW, you could ask $4000 or more for that one, and get it.

I think I found a picture small enough that it would let me load.

Nicely done. Kelley Blue Book puts a value of $3K for one in Excellent condition and your's qualifies.

But, your garage is waaay too clean and tidy. :)

Huh, checked my '77 750 SS worth on Kelley and your's is worth more. Go figure...

right.... KBB... says a '75 550 is worth over $3,000 and a '75 750 is worth $900? ???

IMHO Here near Detroit you could get about $2,000 for it. Maybe more but it might take longer.

after looking a little closer... I'd change that to say... $2,500 instead of $2,000.

of course ... see my disclaimer below :)

It's worth noting that Geographic area plays a huge part on pricing, beyond what can be represented in KBB.

Here on the west-coast, people often buy and ship bikes from the mid-west for cheaper total cost than buying one locally here.

Just some food for thought.
Cheers!

I'm restoring the same bike with only 2000 miles on it, looking at before and after pics you must have close to $2,000 into it good job
