G'Day Chuck, nice vid mate, the "twisties" on the other side of Kinglake, going out to Healsville were like those in your clip, and the speeds we were travelling were similar. John, the owner of the 2012 GW usually rides his RC30 or his CB1100R through those hills, so he can throw a bike around.
The corners up to Kinglake are much tighter than those though, with speed limits in some corners as slow as 10 MPH. Most of the corners are blind, and the Armco barriers on the roads edge are regularly replaced where bikes or cars sail over the edge and drop several hundred feet, and the rock walls on the inside bear testament to those who've failed.
On the day, there were bicycle racers everywhere with their support vehicles blocking the road, was a bloody nightmare! Good thing is, the roads are too narrow for the cops to set up speed camera's, so the roads are pretty much safe to ride at whatever speeds you're comortable with. Cheers, Terry.
