1972 cb350f facelift thread
« on: November 07, 2012, 08:57:28 PM »
here is the 350f i purchased today. this is how i got it. the wiring as you can see is a mess i repaired and re-wrapped the harness so the wiring is off the check list.the engine is ready to come out tomorrow night.i gave my self 2 weeks to have this thing put back together and painted. i have everything to do this.i just need to see if i can make my 2 week deadline.not to hot on the seat but the po did some crap to the frame for that seat so i'm stuck with it.the tires are brand new the chrome on the rims are very nice i'm swapping out the forks.the ones on it are rough.the guy i got it from thought he new about building something i looked at this bike a month ago. well yesterday he called and wanted to sell it. i went to look at it,and i asked him if he still had all the parts that was missing. the idiot pitched a perfect  front and rear fender. pitched the original controls.threw away the seat head light bucket and fork ears.oh and tossed the side covers. now 1 month ago all this stuff was still on the bike. i asked him why would you do that?he replied you know nothing about cafe racers.so i laughed at him he wanted 1000.00 as it sat. i told him 275.00 cash he said he's keeping it well in anger of my offer he tried to wire it up last night and failed big time.so his lack of auto electric skills landed me this thing for what i had offered.so that's why i need it done in 2 weeks so i can ride it by his house.
I've done a lot of things in my life that I'm not proud of...and the things I AM proud of, "are disgusting"
