please help identify a light it's a automotive light for sure
« on: November 14, 2012, 04:30:37 PM »
about 10 years ago a good friend of mine said here you can have this. i asked him what it came off of and he had no idea. he said he had it for about 15yrs and decided to make it someone else's  burden. i had forgotten about until yesterday when it reared it's ugly face. does anybody have any idea what this came off of. the closest I've came to was a Harley or Indian from the 30's or 40's i can not remember. my son came up with a 1947 Mercedes indicator light that was close but still no cigar.the thing i do know is somewhere out there someone is needing one to have a match set possibly. the wire is cloth coming out of it and it has a single filament bulb in it.no markings what so ever. thanks for any info

No problem. I will look some more when I get bored at work tomorrow. I'll ask my dad, too. I wonder if these were 1950-60's version of Pep Boys bolt on accessories rather than an OEM item?

Make sure you circle back and post if you figure it out.

I'm thinking boat.
Boats wouldn't typically use a blue light.  Red, green and white are the norm.
And the OP said it's automotive
