« on: July 10, 2006, 05:37:17 PM »
Purchased a 74 CB750 that was properly stored but not started in twenty years, everything is correct and bike started right up but clutch will not disengage, disassenbled, looks find bit problem continues. Any ideas?

you could likely track down my post a month or so ago, I had the exact same symptoms sp I opened up the clutch and made sure all the plates were free (some were stuck together).
No improvement.
So I opened it up again and it seems I missed 2 plates that were stuck inside the basket.  So I took it all apart, soaked and cleaned it all, peeling the stuck plates apart, running them all with a wire wheel.  That freed it all up but the clutch turned out to be bad anyways (slipped when handle released, and when handle was fully pulled, it was not completely disengaging.

So I bought a used one of ebay for 7$! and it is 100% now.
