You really do meet the nicest people..
« on: February 01, 2013, 05:27:41 AM »
..on a Honda.

The story.

I post in bikes wanted on CL. I receive a call mid week from a guy named Bill. Asks if I'm interested in a S-65 Honda. Well, maybe. He has a second home in my town and was coming my way to pick up some bikes. Stop by and we will put on the coffee. We did.

Now, I will try to get a picture today of the bikes he owns. Over 60 of them.  :o Super Hawks, Scramblers, early 750's and on and on.

He picked these up in Utah..

And this in my town! Missed it! Made two (2) years and spotless with under 5000 miles. Original exhaust, bright faced instruments, perfect paint etc. Just a great looking motorcycle. $800 with title! Damn!

Did I already say damn? I'll say it again. Damn! I need to pay more attention. Well, the good news is Bill and I had a great time sharing the love of motorcycles. Breakfast today. He told me I needed another project. I replied yes, a 305 Super Hawk would be just right.  ;)

Will see. To be continued.

Not saying it was but for $800.00 with title and all orginal it's a bike you can flip for way more money.

I gave him boxes of 350 F and 350 G parts as well as my 1977 CB 750 K exhaust. Karma.  ;)

I think in picture number 6 that is a one year only 450. Blue and on the very left.

Can't remember which one it was.

He hangs on to everything. I told him to pick something and do it.

Like I said, he told me that I needed another project. I agreed. Working details. The S 90 in one picture has been sold but that's not the one I want.  ;)

We had a great time, got along well and loved talking old bikes. Made a friend. I'll be going down to see him in the future.   ;D

Agreed, and didn't mean they are not good bikes, they are. But, as you know, the collectable ones are the H & Z models, those are the ones to buy. I looked at an H1 last week but wasn't the one for me.

I don't think I saw all of them in the pictures. Walls are full of parts also. I'll be a kid in a candy store.

This might be my next project. Still kicking the can as this would be a frame off and probably not cheap to do.

And there lies the problem. I love them all!

Anybody live in the Denver area? Need a set of eyes.

That's a very cool one 8) Looks like it's all there, so it might not be that expensive..unless the tank or mufflers are rotten.

It appears it needs everything. Frame off, painted, chrome plating and parts.

Besides the CB 450, which is possible to purchase, does anybody see what I see?
