Honda cb 500 Four Forks Dilema

I Disassembled my forks but i needed new stanchions and i bought the whole thing including the spring etc. I'm not sure they'll fit properly (the new ones are two inches longer as well). It may be off a 550 but as long as they'll I'm not bothered. Ive been doing more research and they look like they may be for a 750.

Those pictures are craptastic. Pretty tough to tell what's going on there.

Those missing "feet" should be down at the bottom of the lowers. They are what that bolt is secured to on the underside.
I'm not sure if that made any sense

Ah yes. He's right. The allen head bolt that comes up through the bottom of the fork body screws into those aluminum "feet" in the top of the first two pics.
You should show a pic of them (a clear pic) side by side. New vs old.
