1965 honda t500?

hows this little gem i spied today?its a 1965 honda t500 pick up truck,its got a flat looking four with twin two barrell solex side draught carbs,its been restored very well,all underneath looks new with cad plated suspension bolts etc,it has double wishbone ball joint front suspesion!the bloke i was talking to said they just could not get a set of points for it so adapted a piranna electronic and thats the only thing changed from stock,he told me they race these things in japan,,they do some weird #$%* over there dont they?

That's wild.  Did they sell that suff in AUS back then?  First Honda 4 wheelers I remember over here were the early '70s Civics.  Buddy bought a ne '72 & it was crap.  I have seen a few 60's vintage Hondas lately though.

ive never seen one,i dont know if they were sold here,japan has right hand drive cars like us aswell.

Ah, yes I vaguely remember something about that.  Ahead of their time :) being biodegradable, eh?

Man, remember the CVCC?  There use to be billions of 'em around in the states...all gone?  I haven't seen one in years.  Now I want one...always thought of 'em as crap front drive rice burners but, they were quality.

Dave, you should buy that, matches your forum 500 name. Then you could mount your dash cam and go racing in Japan!  What a blast that would be!
