That's a trip down memory lane.  8)
I think the Honda step through was one of the first bikes that I ever saddled.
It didn't take long to learn how to do wheel stands by holding the gear lever in neutral & letting it drop into first gear with a handful of revs.  ;D
They were fun days.  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

Noticed the pink CA92 Benly. Some claim this was never a Honda color but at least one made it to OZ because I have the tank and handlebars for it.

The fork on left side of last pic, is that a 57 or earlier Honda, or a late indian twin or single ?

Greggo, great find! Thanks for posting the pics and link. ;)

As a side note: Honda launched his Honda Technical Research Laboratory in 1946 using Tohatsu and Mikuni war surplus generator engines to make motorized bicycles. In 1948 he started Honda Motor Company, Ltd. and produced the “A” model motorized bicycle and the “B” model motorized tricycle that bore the first Honda logos. The “C” model, Honda’s first real motorcycle, soon became a performance and sales leader. In 1949 ...

"Pink"?  Looks more like a faded red to me.  And rather than calling it "pink", I think it closer to "orange".

If you are claiming to have an original pink tank and handlebar...post the pictures for us to see. ???

My eyes see PINK...especially when put in contrast to some of the 'red' bikes in other pics.  But, color is subjective.

Dream, sometime around 1967-68, the kids down the street from me had a Honda I've never seen since. It was based on an S 90, but was a sort of cafe style, with a long, narrow gas tank, and racer-looking seat. The tank was white, if I recall correctly, and might have had a red racing stripe on top? I do recall that their dad had won it as a door prize or something; wondering now if it might have been a promotional model given away when the local boat dealer took on Honda?
Thanks in advance! ;)

Scottly,

I checked my Honda ID book and didn’t see the bike you described. :(

I can only suggest checking the Honda Collection Hall website and especially under the “collection search tab” as it may be there: http://world.honda.com/collection-hall/

If not, you’re probably right in thinking that it was an American Honda promotional model. I’ve never seen one, but sounds like a cool bike!  :)

Ok, I love Honda bikes but I'd take that S800 coupe over anything.

Dream, thanks for the link to the Honda collection. The CR72 and CR93 Benly had gas tanks that looked the most like the bike in my dimming memory. BTW, what does Benly mean, or represent? It always sounded British to me..

The tank on the bike I'm thinking of was very shallow; I don't think it held more than about 1.5 gallons of fuel...

Actually, I think that green and white tank is actually for a '69 CB175.   They're VERY similar to the '68-'69 CB350 tank, but a little different in shape.   Both beautiful, nonetheless.

Re Honda Identification Guide. This was published by Honda America not Honda.
There are many Honda models not listed in it. Look up Benly S110, you wont find it because it was not an American model. For those who don't know this model it is a 110cc OHV, pushrod single, road bike.
