1977 cb750k parts or bike.
« on: March 25, 2013, 12:56:40 PM »
I bought this bike with  clean Title  a few years back with big restoration dreams but have run out of funds and patience it has a lot of very good parts the odometer reads 14564  but  I don't think it has compression it only has hot pipes on #1 and #4 it has spark at all 4 plugs ,The carbs are great they have a new accelerator pump kit and new bowl gaskets good float needles jets etc. the bike overall is pretty good I will call nothing perfect but its all real good functional parts that will be available unless otherwise noted It has one fork seal leaking and a crack on the left side side cover all flaws will be on video. I wanted to offer you fellas first dibs in thanks all your help with this project shoot me an email if you need parts or are interested in the bike whole before Friday. ;all parts will begin going  on ebay starting Sunday. I will consider  whole bike offers until Friday. Thank you.more pics and video to come. pscycle927@yahoo.com Phil.

Nice canvas. I hope you can sell it as a whole.   :-\
I dont think it would take much to get it roadworthy.

I know its pretty nice for the age I hate to part it but I don't know what is wrong with it and I don't have anymore money to put into it. I think it may need valve adjustments maybe. Stuck rings I wont know until its apart.

dont need no stinking money to do a 3000mi tuneup (which very well could solve your problems)  ;)

That looks to be a very nice bike and would be a shame to part it out. I suggest that you try and get the bike running properly first and then sell it. It would be worth more in running condition and you would not have the hassle of parting it out. Pat

well it has sat in a horse stall covered with a blanket since 1989. I just poured a little break free type oil in the cylinders Ill check it in the morning. I would be floored if that was the only problem and I had stripped it down. Ill read up on the valve adjustment procedure tonight but those tappet covers might be a pain to get off any tips on removing them I don't have torches. Id hate to ruin them.

Why would you need torches?  They are just tappet covers.  A wrench is all you need. ::)
what do you mean you stripped it down?  Already!?!? Really?  :o

No I haven't stripped it down I'm just saying when I did if I found out it was only something simple. Im soaking the pistons right now with liquid wrench type of break free.
