Nah, cast wheels and tubeless tires are waaaay better. Spokes were cool, now it's time to modernize, and be safer

Hi David
Here's a link to the page http://japan.webike.net/products/20366036.html
They're called a Wyvern Classic made by River Crane Corp and are on a par with the Yoshimura cost.
I see that the weight of this one is 16.8Kgs (37 Pound) which is quite a bit.
The Yoshimura Ti 4/1 had a total weight of 4Kgs (9 Pound)

Hi Bob
It mentions that a centre stand can't be used with these 4 pipes.
I had to fit up a new centre stand stop bracket which was supplied with the Yoshimura 4/1.

Thx Greggo, that's what I thought. Didn't see it in the link but pretty sure it's 87 HP. Not impressive IMO.

I think the group they are aiming for is not necessarily interested in the horsepower of this bike but the nostalgia of it. It would be a second or third bike in a stable of bikes of an older, say 50+, enthusiast. At least that's the thinking of the group of riders I'm associated with. Yes, old farts but old farts with attitude and impressive small and large collections. If you young guys like it too, so much the better.

I think they're friggin sweet! But, I'll have to wait until they hit the second hand market in the states. I'm not at a point in my life that I can spend $11K (after tax, license, fees, blah, blah, blah) on a bike that I can't turn into something more valuable...like I can do with all these old CB's. I guess it's a good thing my old CB's are still fast enough for me

Cast wheels mean tubeless tires, tubeless tires don't blowout like a tube When you pick up a nail or other small metal a tube can blow.

Greggo, you and me too. It's closer to $13,000 for one with ABS in Canada and it only comes in white here. Besides the wife going crazy about me thinking of buying one I would sooner buy more early CB750's (like Eric) and ride my 1980 750F if I need a DOHC thrill. In a few years they may be down in price enough to say I'll go for one. Cheers, Cliff.

Errr.....not very correct information.

A puncture will not cause a "blowout"

It takes a rapid split in the tube to have that effect. Something not caused by a puncture.

My mates tidied his up, honda 750 badges, 750 tank stripe , four into four, buffed and chromed rims, black out some linkage stuff, changed the seat to look more 750 style, mazda red paint job,

COMMENT, the exhaust sounds hornbag man, on the honda 1100 u tube you can compare the four mufflers to the yoshi 4 to 1. The yoshy sounds tinny and crap , at low revs its so choked it has crappy idles , slight misfire etc compared to the smooooooth mellow sound of the four pipes and crisp throttle response.
