Mounting of new MC...
« on: July 27, 2006, 11:51:38 AM »
Below is a pic of my new Nissin MC.  I am looking for suggestions on how to mount the “piss cup”.  I will be running bar end mirrors, so there won’t be a mirror thread to bolt it to.  Any ideas?  BTW, my new bars are drag style.

Nice master  ;D
I bent my "piss cup" tube around , and mounted it with a bolt to where the mirror would go with the supplied bracket. About as "clean as it is gonna get. Believe me , I looked at this setup for almost a hour trying to make it as "clean" as possibile, and their really isnt a good way to go about it.

If you want some other "close-up" pics let me know...

Pro,

You will notice that my MC pinch bolt assembly doesn't have a mount for the mirror.  I guess that I will have to fabricate a bracket from the top pinch bolt to the stock reservoir cup.

That would prob. be the best/cleanest way to go about it.

How did you get your images to post up fullsize?  The board software normally shrinks images, making them look wrong, and I don't know many people do the right thing, which is to cut and paste the address into their address bar, in order to see the image in its proper fullsize.

I just right-clicked the picture, copied the "address" , then inserted it as a "image"...
Simple as that.... ;D

Whenver I do that, it shrinks the image, making it look really crappy.  The only way to see the image properly is to manually view it via a copy and paste, or if you are lucky enough to be using Firefox, just right click and click "View Image".

It's ridiculous.

I just fabed up a bracket.  It looks great, just add paint and go!  I'll post pics when the project is complete, just remind me.  I still need to find a bango and bolt, new line, remove stock bars, mount drag bar, etc.  Not a project I am looking forward to.  I am sure that something won't fit right.... this is my typical story.
