Battery draining overnight (ignition issue?)
« on: May 07, 2013, 03:03:19 PM »
Sorry if this is a silly question but here goes... CB750 K4 - With the engine running, if one turns the ignition key to the off position, should the engine stop running?

Thanks much. My new battery keeps draining on me overnight. Wondering if this has anything to do with it.
My engine keeps running even with the key pulled out. I did recently install a "combo" regulator rectifier.

Which way are you turning the key?

I drained my battery once because I turned the key to the parking position and did not realize my tail light was on -- creating a draw on the battery.

Originally thought that that was the case but I definitely turned it off the right way.

Looks like my issue revolves around the new combo RR. Going to start a new topic on it.

Thanks!
