Speedo Cable Question
« on: May 15, 2013, 10:37:26 PM »
How does one go about mating a CBR600f1 wheel and speedo drive to a 77 CB400f speedometer. I'm sure there are cables that will attach but doesn't the difference in wheel diameter throw it off. Is there a way to adjust them to correct this issue?

With a stock guage I doubt they would read anywhere near properly. The guage will have a ratio if it is mechanical, which the 400 will have

With cars it is easy you can usually find a different inside gear. On our bikes you either gotta get a guage that is geared for the tire height of the new wheel or get a programmable electric one. The electric usually mounts a magnet in a recessed area on the wheel and you do the simple input of tire sizes in to the guage
