My I ask what kind of lift, and approx. cost. Nice shop by the way. I,m envious.

The lift is just one from Harbor Freight. It lists for $699. Every now and then they have a $299 coupon. So when they had one of the $299 coupons, I bought a lift.
You have to pump it by foot like a floor jack and it takes 52 pumps to go from the floor to its max height. No big deal unless your taking bikes on and off the lift all day. I don't so it works good for me.
The best part of the new shop is how clean and neat it is. It is so much easier to work on a bike when the work area is clean and organized. Tools in use sit on the lift. nuts and bolts all go into magnetic dishes. I keep about 10 of them around so I can keep the hardware separated by item. Example: one dish for rear fender hardware. One dish for shock hardware. One dish for front fender hardware. This makes it super easy to put things back together.
Then when everything is back together, all tools get put away. Magnetic dishes get put away. The bike comes off the lift. The lift is cleaned. The floor is swept and EVERYTHING is picked up. It is such a great work space, I could not be happier.
Right now on the lift is a 75 Suzuki GT550 triple, 2 stroke. It needs lots and lots of attention.
