hiya folks... just purchased a 1979 CB650... also currently own an '80 CB750, but that is for another forum... i gave up superbikes this winter, and sold my rice-rocket last march--- not only am i built for comfort (not racing!), but i have witnessed more than a couple of bad crashes, most of which could have been avoided, were it not for careless or reckless riding, or just showing off... this squid has shed his tentacles for good!

got a pretty good deal on the CB650... half a tub of mothers billet polish later, she is looking good, and running strong... needs a chain, and the forks are going to  need servicing (stiction), but the seals look in good shape... hopefully, a fluid change will cure all...

looks like a nice forum...

Welcome.

Get some pictures of that 650 in the Gallery and post a link in your signature.  We (the 350/400/500/550/650 guys) need to stick together. 8)

Welcome.
Be sure to check out the tech forum for modifications,
to wit:
I waxed my tank following the instructions from that Australian dude, Terry,
and BY GOLLY! I got another .0256mpg more better.
peace,
michel

ahhh.... another bunch of jokesters, eh?

so if i happen to mention a DOHC bike that isnt an F i wont get banned? and if (DOG forbid) i considered putting DOHC parts on a SOHC bike or vice-versa, i wont get lynched?
so, even though i bleed red, no one will care that i rode a suzuki (a red one at that) to scratch that speed itch?
 ???
sweet...

and thanks for the welcome...

Many of us ride and own other bikes so we keep a busy "Other Bikes" thread for those discussions.

It doesn't stop the odd post in the SOHC forums about cars, planes, sheep, beer and other assorted stuff!

welcome to the forum,

so if I'm hearing this right, they are making DOHC bikes now too?

AND there is a company called S-U-Z-U-K-I, that makes bikes as well? SWEET!

now if i could just figger out who makes those noisy bikes that shake the rider to death at the stoplights, or sit on the side of the road or on a trailer....
76' cb750f custom
69' cb750 sandcast
69' CT90
Amen Saviour 750 Chopper frame
and enough parts to build about 6-7 more bikes
