So I've posted my struggles with my clutch in the past, and it seems things are coming back to haunt me. I've got a recurring issue with the clutch developing lots of play when the bike gets hot and causes me to drag the clutch at stops and make it impossible to get out of gear. It's a 76 550f, and I've basically gone through and done everything I can find a reference to. All new plates(steel and friction), new cable, proper adjustment, drilled clutch basket as per hondamans design, and brand new fresh oil. Ive gotten to the point that I have to adjust the clutch very tightly before heading out so thst when it does heat up and get sloppy, I can still function at stop lights.
It goes from having a dimes edge amount of play Ay the lever, to well over 1/4"! I'm running Honda brand 10w40 in the motor and have tried 20w50 to no avail.
Any ideas??
