Bottom line though: ride lots of miles each year and the tyres are worn out long before any other considerations!

It will be a sad day indeed when I have to replace one or more of the tires on either of my bikes due strictly to age. :'(

Well,
I don't know how any of you can do it, but I have never had
a rear tire last more than 4,000 miles.

And it is not just because of the burnouts, evasive manuvers around
deer, bad drivers etc etc.

Maybe I should stop using old tires off bikes I get during the year. ;D

It doesn't matter how long the tyre lasts (especially if it's 'pre-owned) as long as you are the one who sends it to the great worn out tyre heaven in the sky!!!
