there is an ff/run/off on the switch that is by the gas grip. WHAT DOES FF DO?

It's likely an 'O' thats's worn off..
off/on/off

Or it could be short for "fast forward".
Your bike may be one of the rare ones made with a 'time compression' modulator. It makes everything else slow down, and makes you appear to be going twice as fast as you are to everyone else!

FF is a Fuel Flow economy mode. It's used while cruising down the highway and you desire to save some gas during the trip. It's very effective and can result in significant savings in fuel useage. There are some minor side effects that aren't really worth mentioning.

don't listen to these other guys tell you what FF is for, they are just jealous not to have a SANDCAST FF/RUN/OFF switch which it obviously is.

If I were you I would tell them to "FF" OFF - with a stutter probably.

It means "Friggin' Fast!" Must be an F2 model 750. Or someone switched controls. The switch engages the #s 2 & 3 ignition. The F3 model had the FFF ("Fantastically Friggin' Fast") switch.

In all seriousness, though, your question was answered in the first response. If the "o" was not rubbed off, then it was a manufacturing error. The kill switch has three positions: Off, On, and Off, with On in the middle.

I think about that one every time I look at the valve cover on my 750 because I always wondered why he didn't think it read "IOHC 750I", since the line he mistook for the "I" is also after the "750". $:-\$

Possibly, but nowhere near as valuable as the "Inverted Emblem Tank" model, and don't even think of comparing it to the "Upside Down Carburetors" model. There's only been one ever known to exist of that variety!

THE YEAR/MODEL IS; 1980 CB650C. I WILL GO BY MY DADS AND GET A PICK AND SHOW YOU . I JUST PURCHASED IT AND IT ONLY HAS 10670 MILES ON IT. I GOT IT FOR $600 AND COSMETICALLY IS RUST AND BLEMISH FREE. DOES HAVE SITTING ISSUES THOUGH (GAS LEAK) AND EVER PRESENT HEADGASKET LEAK. BUT ONLY SEEPING. I AM GOING TO ADJUST TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER AND VALVES BEFORE I RIDE REGULARLY ALSO
