I have my electrics back together and, for the most part, everything works. With the exception of the tail light and the dash lights both remain off. That is until i activate the turn signals. It doesn't matter whether it's full left or full right they only come on then.
I have good continuity all the way to the fuse block for both the brown/white and the brown/blue wires. When i put power directly to the fuse I get active lights. I have no voltage to the brown white, either at the switch or in the bucket until I activate the turn signals. From the diagram it would appear that there are few interspersing connections in between the headlight bucket and the block for this circuit. I would like to refrain from ripping open the loom but I will if I have to.
It looks like the circuit is completed through the turn signal switch body? Could that be bad? What am I missing?
Full disclosure...i put new connections on the harness, tore it apart (unwrapped it) and fixed any exposed wires (mostly green and red), and have a blade type fuse block that I put in. However I made sure when I wired it that the wires went according to the original block. I haven't made any other alterations.
I really want to fix the problem the right way and I'll admit i'm not terribly good with electrics. Any help is appreciated!
