Buggered up mirror lock nuts - heads up
« on: June 01, 2013, 03:14:56 PM »
I've seen a lot of the chrome lock nuts for the mirror shafts get buggered from over tightening, wrong tool used, etc. Then they rust and look like hell. The nut isn't available separately. But I ran across a lock nut part # recently that's got the CB500 product code in the part number but isn't listed for the CB500, not even on the original 1971 fiche as far as I can tell. It's listed for the models shown below. However, this nut is identical to the original on all of Honda's chrome 10mm mirror shafts at least as far back as 1969. Cheap, too. (around $3). Part # 90314-323-000. The chrome on these nuts looks show quality. Just FYI...

Ha ha, from the Urban Dictionary:

Mok:

A person with an exceptional large penis. If you want to be specific, Mok is used appropriately if a person has a penis longer than 8 inches.

Cheers, Terry. (Mok Man) ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
