Hi everyone

I have a cb500k0. I am putting the upper race in for the all balls tapered bearings kit. Is the upper race supposed to stick above the frame?  Both races are the same height correct?

Also how do I get the old pressed on race that's on the bottom of the triple tree?

Thanks,

James

The top will stick out a little bit.

To remove the bottom race you should you a punch. Turn upside down and hit.

when installing use the thicker washer to snuggly fit the lower race in.

If needed. Freeze the lower stem. Heat the bearings in the oven. This process help with install

Thanks. It looked like there was a lower lip in the top part of the inside of the bike frame.  I didn't realize it was seated all the way till out of frustration I knocked the top race back out.  I was beating on that thing like crazy.  I'm like I made a press and its still not going in!

Thanks for the quick reply.
