Afternoon you lot.
When I last read the Honda history book it spoke about Bob Hansen racing a CB450 fresh from Japan, but I never read anything about an RC class anywhere.
And as a CB450 owner - I could not give a foetid dingo's kidney whether there was a 450 displacement RC racebike, I don't think it was ever impressive enough to warrant that honour.
I'm off to play with Mikunis.
(There's a lovely VF1000R for sale here at the moment - how about you septics sending some more of them over here for us to fabricate about with whilst our arses hang out?)
'Twas a pity that your "less than impressive" 450's carbs wouldn't allow you to go for a ride yesterday Cliff, I had a great ride to Ballarat and back, and a nice lunch at the Hog's Breath Cafe.
It was F-F-Farking cold, but apart from a little sleet as I rode into Ballarat, was otherwise a great day. I sat on 75 MPH (US speedo) there and back, and still got 56 MPG on 91 RON fuel. Amazing!
If you have to buy a horrible VF1000 to "Fabricate about with" with your arse hanging out, buy an "R", the "F" was a POS, and much less impressive than the "R", which was actually a fairly impressive bike. I'd still like one, even though they were heavy and fragile. (like me)
