Petcock still flows after installing rebuild kit. Also, how exactly does the reserve work on this petcock. It's a little different from the smaller bikes that I have worked on. I don't see where the fuel gets into the petcock after the level drops below the main tube.

There should be a hard fibre washer under the head of the screws that hold the petcock on. without those gas leaks down the threads and through the petcock even in the off position
