Good Day All, and a Happy Canada Day from the heart of North America! I am a newbie to contributing to this awesome forum, but I have been lurking for a long time as a guest.
Back in the day, I bought a 1977 Honda CB400F from my cousin in Vancouver. Drove it, loved it, did the "Ton" before it was fashionable, and eventually sold it when I got married and moved out of the province. Fast forward to present day; I have been lusting over that beautiful old canary yellow machine, but looking to Frankenstein one a bit as an old 50's style cafe racer. The only thing is, that with the famed Japanese history of the CB400F, I want to pay homage to its Japanese-ness. And that means finding one which is NOT in 100% restored museum quality, so I can turn it into a wasabi burning BANZAI machine. I don't have a huge budget, but found one in or two possibles throughout Canada and the States.
I have drooled over the rebuild posts of those who have been at it for quite a while, and am looking forward to joining their ranks. Looking forward to contributing to the SOHC4 cause.
