hi all,
noticed my carb floats ( well 3 out of 4) are numbered thusly:

carb #1 - 100 is embossed on the float
carb #2 - not numbered
carb #3 - 127 is embossed on the float
carb #4 - 95 is embossed on the float

is this the float weight in grams/grains or something?  i put 'em back where i found them and set at 14.5mm, but am curious.  thanks.

I have my 627B (CB500) carbs apart right no - no markings at all on the floats.

it is called the installation rating... it is an approximated number on the number of installations that the particular float can withstand before cracks and leaks occur.
