I really don't know. Was going to do that but the 350 is just in excellent condition for it's age and I'm not sure if I really want to flip it.

I had one that I sold and it was a great bike.

I  recently sold a 350 and regret it, a very fun bike to hop on and hit the road.  Nice score(s), TT...Larry

Took battery out. No good. As far as the tank, no idea but I can smell it. The latch is broken and I can not open it. Disappointment for sure. Not sure what to do. Caps are hard to find.

Tucked away in trailer for now.

Drill/grind the cap hinge rivet to get the cap off.  Hondaman sells replacement hardware, basically a bolt with an acorn nut.

Hey TT,

I've been trying to hunt down one of those bad boys (the '73 CB350G) for a long time now; amongst doing so I came across this guy's blog that is pretty impressive in regards to ALL your maintenance, tech, links, resources, etc. needs for this specific bike. Here's the link:

http://benmiranda.com/my-honda-cb350/

Anyway, I may have one of these lined up but the price is pretty steep. That being said, are you thinking about possibly selling it?? Let me know, thanks.
I hope the link helps.

Regards,
Joe

Everything is for sale except the CBX.  ;)

Might flip it. West Coast prices for a bike like this should do well without touching it.

Can anyone suggest a way to open the gas cap with a broken latch?

Hate to drill out the rivet. Don't want any damage to the tank but really need to get that nasty stuff out of it.

Put some rubber matting or something similar on the tank {to stop scratches}, push the cap down to take the load off the latch and turn the remnants of the latch with a pair of pliers   ;)

For sure put some matting or thick tape on the tank. I have used a mechanics pic with a bend in it to move the latch from the underside. But like retro said push the cap down to take the load off and you should be able to push the latch forward. Might take one guy to push the cap down and another to move the pic up and under. Good luck with it. Beauty of a 350 there...

I think you can slide the latch forward with a screwdriver, after protecting the tank .
Then or in the first place drill out the latch rivet, then. All you have to do is. Replace the rivet, and pull it out to gas up.. Push cap down while pulling rivet.

I am having thoughts of selling my S90. I did run it at all this year. Have you guys started buying upthis side of mMississippi?...... I can even pop it into a pallet and ship it...not trying to come off too motivated to sell but for the right price I will do anything. My paycheck isn't increasing but my family is.... 8)

Thanks guys! The latch just rocks back and forth. I have pushed the cap down as my 350 that I sold was the same style.

Yes, by all means protect that tank. It's 98% spotless on the outside. Stinks on the inside.  ;D
