1975 honda cb 550 four Best oil to run?

Another question up for debate What is the best oil to run for normal riding condition's?

In mine, I run regular motorcycle oil.  10w40, as suggested on the dipstick.

Do you have the owner's manual or service manual?  If not, download them.  You can find them here.  Either from the main portal or the very stop  stickies.  You'd find answers to most questions in them whether basic or more complicated.

I go by the book:  10W-40 Castrol GTX non-synthetic.  Hasn't failed me yet.
