550 Cam Options
« on: July 18, 2013, 02:44:19 pm »
Anyone have any thoughts and/or expierences with the 126-00 and 126-20 profiles from Megacycle?

I am trying to gather all my potential options. I am aware of the 358a and b from Dynoman but hadn't come across these guys yet...

What do you have in mind for the bike, street, race?

I have the 126-20 in my race engine. It's not radical but is a nice cam for the track. I can't say how it would behave on the street, but expect the power development is biased toward higher revs.

It will be a street bike. I have the gp moto 4 into 1, the base 61mm Dynoman pistons, lightened and balanced crank, and will be going with a stage 2/3 with mrieck. Also going to put 26mm smooth bore carbs on it. So it will hopped up but hopped up street. I was originally looking at the 358a.

I have the 126-00 in my basically stock 550.  Still working out some carb issues, but seems to have stronger mid range (good for street), and a touch more top end.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I may go the 126-00 route. Can always track down another core and go more aggressive later.

I am in the process of installing my 126-20 cam in my bike as I finish my motor rebuild. I'm also doing the dynoman 592/61s kit. I'll let you know in a week or so how streetable it is.
