Snake Oil to stop engine smoking???

My 2700 hour golf cart's motor is aptly named Old Smokey.  ::) 
Has anybody used some snake oil that actually stopped all/part/some of this smoking? I tried a 30 year old bottle of Slick 50 - no change. I run a semi-synthetic 15w-40 oil (Frontier, same industrial oil I run in my diesels) but there has been no difference between this and using el cheapo 10-30.
I'm sure the bore is hour glassed and it wouldn't surprise me to find the blow-by is using the valve guides for a direct oil injection port.  :o
But oil is cheaper than a motor, and it doesn't foul the plug too badly... and besides I spent all my play money for the year already.

Depends on what is actually causing the smoke, but I have had limited success in the past with STP or Motor Honey. I'm sure there are others also.
Go check out the selection at a local auto parts store.
Thicker the better!

Actually, if you just drain the oil out of it, it won't smoke anymore. ;D

I was asked once why the motor blew up in our Funnycar, and I replied that the problem was obvious - we started it.   ::)

I heard some guys are putting in the briggs V twin. I hear they run like a scalded dog. Does it tow the funny car?
 We just had a good nostalgia F/C show near here at Cordova. I missed most of it while helping a kid with a RM 565 in a 70 chevy pickup.  He set his truck on fire last year so I kept an eye on him.

Oh yeah that Cordova show was great from everything I read, man they were hauling a$$.
My cart is a Toro workman I use at the golf course, it's a 350cc Yamaha motor. I'm trying to get another one for the track.  ::)
