Topic: Need replacement front carb boots for 1978 CB750F will these work?

Hello everyone,

I need to replace with either NOS or aftermarket boots for my 1978 CB750F.  The parts for it are listed as
 
16211-410-000    INSULATOR 1, CARBURETOR Not Available           
16212-410-000    INSULATOR 2, CARBURETOR   $18.67      
16213-410-000    INSULATOR 3, CARBURETOR Not Available           
16214-410-000    INSULATOR 4, CARBURETOR Not Available

I can find these from parts n more but the numbers are slightly different (they look identical)

But they are listed for the 1979-1982.

First!  MOST all aftermarket sellers will only take a picture of one set of boots and list them differently by part number according to year/model.
The ones listed for 79-82 CB WON'T work. The DOHC CBs had larger and different carbs.

No they will not you are sol. The best thing you can do is  the old double up trick that does work fairly well but not perfect. Honda still sells 1 &3 and you will need two of each. There is a post with a guy making new ones I don't know if he has started yet. Look in parts for sale. I think that is where I saw it. He is trying to get enough people to sign up for a first run.
