price diff Us/Can.
« on: August 20, 2013, 03:59:16 PM »
I live right near the border and I am always trolling CL. Funny how a bike that would get $1000 at the most down here , goes for 2200 up there. I dont get it. Its the same bike. I have to get used to B.C. prices now, but sheesh. Its crazy. I mean a piece of  crap early 80's butt ugly cruiser style , be it a magna, LTD, etc. still ask for 1800 and up. Why??
its better to regret something you have done, than something you havent.Except playing with explosives.

It's just geography. Come to Alberta to shop for bikes and you'll appreciate the "cheap deals" to be found in B.C. for m  otorcycles.

I remember when I first started dating my wife (she is canadian) the differenc in the USD vs CAD was .67 and everything else being equal, Canada was a freakin bargain. In 1998 we went to Big White for three days of boarding. With the multi-day pass, the exchange rate, and a student discount I paid $13/day! Now its $80 USD.  Now that the USD/CAD are on par, the price difference between here and there is killer, that's why all the BCers are coming down here to shop.
