71 CB750 Kickstarter Gear Installation
« on: August 28, 2013, 01:13:30 AM »
Just about finished installing the new parts for the bottom case of my 71 K1.  Took the Kickstarter gear out to clean the case and do an inspection whilst I was changing all the gearbox and case bearings.

I did not pay much attention to the springs when I took it out and now that I have it back in it looks a bit loose.

Can anyone tell by the pics if I have installed the spring correctly. It looks to me like it should be sitting int he groove in the case with tension on it?

middle picture ;  the divice witch is pointing up must be behind a steel part about 180 degree of the position now ; then wan you get it together the spring wil have pressure

olso the schaft hase one position to fit

dont hammer the locking pin compleet in the case

stay kalm  ; be patieence and take your time

Thanks gerrit.

I think I understand what you mean. I will have another look when it's daylight. Appreciate the feedback
