1976 CB550K Smoking exhaust
« on: September 15, 2013, 06:09:06 PM »
Guys,
i have been reading the article on White smoke and i havent gotten the answer i need.  ever since i put on these Pod Filters and 105 jets, i have been getting white smoke(sometimes grayish smoke) coming out of my exhaust. i know that the rings and valve guides/rubbers are good because i just replaced all of them.

This is what i have:
pods, 105jets, aftermarket 2into1 exhaust(both sides) and the needle clip is second to the bottom position(not sure how many slots are on the needle).

does the smoke mean its running too rich, or too lean?... the engine gets hot, but you can still touch it.

what do you guys think?

Are your valve guides OK? I had the same and found 1 was really worn when I took the head of and stripped it down.

White smoke is just moisture in your exhaust.  It should disappear after the warm up good.
