Parts Information Please - Fiche Site Needed Urgently
« on: August 20, 2006, 05:54:33 AM »
Guys, I am putting my CB750 Honda K4 back together and need some fast help. There are several sites out there with the Honda part fiche. I normally use the link below which is a shared program many dealers use. This program does not have the "oil Tank and Side Covers" illustrations. It's the only page missing in the entire site I've been able to find. I need the part numbers for rubber and all attaching parts for the oil tanks and side covers. Can someone who has a CD or a printed copy make me a scan or fax copy, please? I'll pay $10 to your Paypal account for it. This is needed quickly as I'm getting close.

Thanks - help much appreciated.

Gordon

You didn't say what year, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what year a "K4" is...but MR has a 76 750 GIF image and related numbers for "Battery cover @ oil tank cover @ tools"...

The nomenclature for the pics seems to change from year to year; you just gotta guess where they'd put it...

Great job on the bike Gordon, I was going to post info from crotchrocket.com but, I
couldn't get that particular illustration to come up. Might know it. Looks like puppytrax managed
        one though.

             puppytrax, the K4 is a 74' model. The K0 ran from 69-70, K1 70-71 and then (from what I
know) the K2 was a 72', K3 -73', K4-74' and I think that was the year they did it from the info I
have. I mean they might have done it all the way to 78 which would have been a K8. I do know
that 79' was a DOHC and that was a whole different thing. Hope that helps you.

Guys, thanks and most of all - thanks for posting the 1976 page. Sometimes not knowing too much is a "good thing". I would have never thought to look at the K6 for K4 parts, but it worked! I went to my old website and looked back, but there are no illustrations posted on the 1975 and earlier models. The 1976 listings are slightly different and don't match the numerical reference, but the part numbers are the same. I took about 5 minutes and everything is cross-referenced and the numbers I need highlighted for tomorrow's visit to my local dealer. The biggest differences are in the tool tray, so it's a good resource for visualizing the parts needed.

Puppytrax, if you'll send me your Payapl account, I'll gladly send $ 10 for the good tip - problem is resolved with your help.

I didn't know that...never looked for 750 parts...but good to know...too bad there's no one listed to point that bad link out to...   >:(

Better jot down the prices, too. You pay your dealer for rent, electricity, sewer & water, gas, property taxes, etc. The online dealers can be as much as $50 cheaper on one muffer...

Sincere efforts to help each other is just one of the many reasons that this site is TOPS in
         my book.

http://www.powersportspro.com/partsfish/login.asp

try this site.
register for free, pick Honda and model. pick your parts, put them in the basket, view your check out basket, this will then transfer the parts fish numbers to Honda numbers.cancel order or continue.
A very good site once you get used to it.

They are not all the same!

Nothing is of great value until it is finished.
