classic TT 2013
« on: September 16, 2013, 01:30:14 am »
returned from Isle of Man with mixed feelings this year,
Col (iomtt9) did not have a good time of it with mechanical problems and practice cancellations due to poor weather he did not qualify to race as he didn't have enough laps in.
mechanical problems came from crap fuel causing detonation and partial seizing.
He did qualify on time and speed but the lack of laps ruled him out, which was a huge bummer especially when certain other riders who were in the same boat were allowed to compete.
We'll do them next year Col ;)
I managed to win the Ramsey Sprint (500 class) for the 3rd year on the trot , no pushover this year , John Cliffe  (cb500 honda) did 24 runs to eventually beat my time so I had to go out again but could only match his time (8.73 secs.) however my terminal speed was 6mph faster so that gave me the win.

Also did the classic TT lap of honour parade alongside Agostini, Phil read, freddie spencer, Mick Grant to name but a few.
Australian photographer Bryce Stacker asked if he could put a camera on the bike for the lap, which is now on youtube,

Classic TT lap of honour 1975 cb400f 2013 (maybe someone with the knowledge can put the link on here .... Tintop ???)

Slipping clutch
undergeard (only had sprint gearing with me)
rusty old rider

BUT WHAT A BUZZ  !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Haven't got a clue on top speed. No speedo allowed.

Can you define 'sick' ?
