Rocker Shaft
« on: October 17, 2013, 08:09:52 AM »
Hi guys, I'm about half way through my rebuild and I need to find a solution to a rocker shaft problem. A rocker sticks pretty badly on one of my shafts and doesn't move freely at all. I can't seem to find a good source for a new one. I've searched and found a thread from hondaman a few years ago mentioning making shafts but don't see any followup. Do you guys know of anybody still selling them or does anyone have a better solution? I had thought about taking it to a machine shop and having them smooth out the rocker shaft.

Is the shaft rusted or why does it stick?  I would try to polish it as a beginning.

There are 350s, 400s, 500s, 550s, 650s, and 750s in the SOHC4 clan.  Lots of parts are NOT interchangeable.
