Thanks for running interference for the guys ahead of us in line.

I think you have read the things I said about Busso's logic and order of shipping on the Facebook group chat. They have different people doing different things and there is no order. If you are nice to the lady handling invoice and shipping, communicate frequently and there is a better chance of getting things done.
Italians are very quirky and hot tempered. Doesn't take much to set them off on the wrong track. I am not defending their ways, I am just stating the fact that if you want things done you will need to finesse them a bit. I have dealt with the Alfa Romeo people for a long time and know how to smooth things over to get it done.

I know they have blanks for 341 and 300 in their inventory, I am fairly certain those from the first group buy will get their delivery soon if there is no issue with orders.

Good of you to help the members to understand what the deal is about.

So, to cap it all up, I am the one who asked Busso to start a new Group Buy and production run. ...

If I missed anything, please let me know and I will try to answer it if I know or think I know the answers

Hi David,  ZTatZAU here.  I'm fairly new to the SOHC4 forum and I'm about ready to email Busso to join in your group buy.  I just sent you a PM but thought you might see this post sooner...

1)  Can you confirm that the 850 EURO group buy price includes the decorative heat shields on the mufflers?

2)  Can you confirm that the group buy is for a reproduction of the HM300 style muffler system rather than the 341 style mufflers?

3)  If so, should my email specify...
1 KIT 300 STYLE - NO STAMP

4)  I'm also wondering about their hardware kit (rubbers and clamps).  Is this something I should include in my email order for the group buy?

Thanks for helping to put this together!  ZT

Good of you to help the members to understand what the deal is about.

I am still waiting on an answer from the office shipping lady. Her English is Google Translate so it takes a bit to get it down correctly

1 & 4: The group buy deal is 850 Eruo shipped and includes the functional heatshields, clamps, hoses and rubber bump stops
2. You can choose reproduction HM300 in stamped and unstamped for your K1. Reproduction HM341 is available as well, I didn't buy any so I can't tell you how they are
3. If you wish to join the group buy, know that it is bank wire transfer only. 50% deposit is due on ordering, and the balance 50% is due when production is finished and ready to ship. I would send the email and disclose you are part of the Busso CB750 SOHC Group Buy and you would like to order. Include your full name, phone number, shipping address and/or billing address if it is different, which exhaust system you wish to order and how many

Thanks for your reply David!  Please see my PM reply with the information you requested.

I've already sent my email to Busso including the information you outlined.  For the Quantity & Model i entered...
1 KIT 300 STYLE - NO STAMP

Can you tell me: If I had opted for stamped mufflers would the stamping say HM300 or BS300?

Thanks again for your helping to put this group buy together.

Not to pi55 on anyone's parade nor ruin a bulk buy, but I'm still waiting for my stuff. I wrote about every two weeks, and they kept giving me responses like "You'll get your tracking number in two weeks." This time I waited 3.5 weeks, and just wrote to tell them I'll be cancelling my order with my credit card unless they come up with something and process the partial refund for the unnecessary/redundant parts I paid extra for but do not need because they come with the exhaust anyway...

It seems there are quite a few of us that haven’t gotten our exhausts. I really appreciate all of David’s efforts to get this straightened out. I received my tracking number over two months ago and as of this morning, it still doesn’t work. I have sent many emails to Busso requesting updates. I feel like I have been courteous and patient. The last response I got from Busso stated that last week was a “party” in Italy and that he felt like my order would arrive Friday (today, June 9th.), or Monday. This response was last week.. Like I stated, tracking number still doesn’t work. Sure wish my exhaust would suddenly appear on my porch!! Again, thank you David for any help you can get us.

Apparently my email yesterday (or DesertKyorugi calling? Thanks if that was you!!!) did something. They processed the partial refund (although it hasn't shown up yet) and then sent a tracking # (although the number has only been generated and nothing has been shipped). I wouldn't exactly call it substantive but I guess it is something.

I'm thinking that if we as a community weren't so invested in getting great repop exhausts for our bikes, ones that aren't easy to come by, we might not be giving them the benefit of the doubt. If this was for any other product and the business acted this way they'd be out of business. So I guess I'm still waiting...

Just an update. Just got a text from DHL stating the package had been picked up and delivery is expected by next Monday, the 12th. My tracking number is also working now. David talked to the lady in charge of shipping and seems to have gotten everything straightened out!! Thank you David!!

I would bet anyone anything that 90% of the #$%*ing about these guys would disappear if they were simply straightforward (and honest) in their communication and sales. Simply stating frmo the outset something like "sometimes we have issues with chrome that can cause a delay" or whatever, advertise a wider window for delivery, etc. Instead it's infrequent communication and BS -- "your pipes will ship in 2 weeks" 6 weeks ago. I've got tons of experience in countries where time is a flexible concept and it doesn't really bother me, but them being honest about it would lessen people's frustrations.

I got a quick reply today that my funds have not yet arrived even though I sent them Tuesday afternoon. It didn't leave my account until today so I have no doubt that is true.

It seems to me that Buso owes him a bit of gratitude and thanks, if not a part time gig running interference for them.

RE: The group buy... I'm trying to figure out what I can conclude from the following...

...
I am just lining up the minimum 30 orders for Busso to start the Group Buy. Busso will collect the payment and ships directly to each buyer.  There is no money being collected on the group buy until we reached the minimum 30 orders.

Estimated delivery time for this special production run is August if we have the 30 orders in the next 2 weeks. Also, i believe it will be like the previous group buy. 50% payment on start of production and the remaining 50% when it is ready to ship

Then from our DM correspondence...

Hi David, ...
I am sending Busso the requested PDF confirmation of my 425 Euro wire transfer deposit for 1 KIT - HM300 STYLE - NO STAMP purchase in connection with the current group-buy...

Please also let me know if we've reached the 30 minimum order goal yet...
Thanks again for helping to put this together!
ZTatZAU

You shouldn't need anything other than what's on the screenshot that was posted in order to join the group buy. ... They most likely won't respond right away./quote]

One more thing, only senda a deposit if you receive the proforma invoice for it

Thanks David!  Yes, I received the pro forma invoice the morning after I sent the email with the information requested in the screenshot that was posted.

BTW!  I love the look of both of your green bikes!
ZTatZAU
Though I haven't yet received another DM reply from David!

Here's how all this went down...
I emailed Busso with the information requested in the posted screen shot on Friday evening (6/8/23) which would have been about 2AM (6/9/2023) in Italy.

I received their email reply with an attached PDF Pro Forma requesting money transfer for the 425 Euro 50% deposit at 5AM Friday morning (about Noon on Friday in Italy).

The Pro Forma provided all the necessary Busso Bank and Account information and specified that the 425 Euro money transfer was to be paid "within" 2023-06-09.  i.e. That day! Friday!  I promptly complied and wired the 425 Euro deposit.

I then followed up Friday afternoon, as Busso requested, with a PDF confirmation of my wire transfer on 6/9/23.

So, based on your statement above in bold, does this mean that we have now met the minimum 30 order goal? And the group buy is headed to production?

Or, could it mean that Busso did not associate my emailed information and subsequent wired deposit with the group-buy?

I'm just trying to figure out what's going on!  ZT

EDIT:  Yes!  I was hoping David would check in and reply.  Hopefully with the current order count.  I think you said we were up to 21 just prior to my submission to Busso.

If I'm not mistaken Stu, you wired your deposit to Busso on Monday the 5th of June.  Did you receive an email with a Pro Forma invoice from Busso before doing so?

And did your Pro Forma specify a date to wire the deposit the same day as Busso's reply
