Very few differences between the two. The 77 had higher handlebars
and more forward foot pegs and came in yellow and red, I think.

Hi
I believe only difference was passenger footrests taken off swinging arm and put on frame and of course the colour, recessed fuel filler and slightly higher handlebars.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Tank is different, different graphics. Taller bars, forward foot pegs. Longer cables. The exhaust collars are smooth. Different colors than available earlier. Yellow and a metallic sort of wine color.

On the '75 model the pillion foot pegs are attached to the swing arm, whilst on the '77 one they are attached to a loop on the frame.

I think that is only in other countries. I think the US version had the same "passenger assisted rear suspension" as the 75 and 75.

Exhuming this topic for a moment as I look into this I can confirm that the US 77 400F does have its footpegs mounted on the swingarm, and not on any added frame loop. Or at least mine does :-)
