Thinking of parting out the 400f... I'm so ashamed
« on: November 12, 2013, 11:46:30 AM »
I've been meaning to do something with it... AHRMA race bike... but it just doesn't fit the bill the way I want it to.

There is no title to the frame but it is in good stock condition.
I might be willing to sell one of Terry's oil coolers that I bought early in the SOHC4.net existence.
It's really a crapshoot of what I have and what I'm willing to sell.
I am keeping the motor and may put it in my 350f.  The extra ponies and gear will be like the skies have cleared and beautiful church organ music fills the air.

This is a feeler thread, so please let me know of anything and everything you might be interested in.  I have most parts, in boxes, patina included.

77 is forward mounted, will work on an earlier bike but not what you are looking for SB as it brings the feet up and creates a more upright position....Larry

You don't even have a 400f, what would you use it on?
Tank is red, two small dents that should be easy to get out by someone w/ skills.  Decent metal inside and out.  I traded someone, Jaguar maybe  ???, my 77 tank for the 75, the 75 has the more attractive thumb release style cap.

I have frame that I'm trying to save :). http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=131421

Red is really not my ideal color, but would do just find if I can't find the yellow or blue

nope!  it sits in my AZ garage all toasty and warm, out of the elements.  The more people express interest, the more incentive I have to dive into the garage.

I'll get to posting pics soon... i think.  but it will be an official sale thread.  not this one.

aren't you guys excited??  I am!  New parts and money for new parts all around!  Here, Here!!

Parting out the 400f
« Reply #24 on: February 25, 2014, 06:32:58 PM »
OK
So

I've decided to let some of the 400f go.
Untitled, no clue if it was ever stolen, I was not interested in tagging it so I never ran the VIN.
Many rusty crusty parts...
I haven't opened the boxes in years but (I think) there are
complete frame, cleaned original and in good shape, with front end
footpegs
gauges
stock wheels and what look to be original tires
stock red '75 tank with decals in good shape, some rust inside-nothing showing on the outside, 2 small dings-should be easy to remove them... I may keep this but make a serious offer

I don't think I have stock fenders or lights, but I will check soon.

Most of what I am selling is already intact on the frame.  I will ship for a price.

But...
