Never ceases to amaze me either.  Seems like everwhere I go around here I see sohc's buzzing around but I never hear about any sort of meetings, or even a decent bike night. Its crazy. I am in seattle so feel free to let me in on any events you find out about

The only event I'm aware of in this area is the Vintage gathering on Vashon once a year. My bike's not a rebuild really and is only 27 years old so I'm not particularly interested in that either.

Let me know if you'd like to head down this way sometime, we can meet up at the watering hole and take a ride to the waterfront and the park. I think my buddy would be interested as well. He's an experienced rider and does all his own work but both of us have been out of bikes for many years.

I'd like to try some longer rides this year if I could develop enough confidence in my machine. Would like to get a few opinions from knowlegable riders before I do so.

Why wait around for somebody else to set up a group event?  Start your own.  It's worked out really well here in Denver.

I'm here in Seattle and there is a VME (Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts) bike gathering the first Wednesday of every month at Planet Georgetown, a bar/restaurant located in... well it's in Georgetown.  You don't have to be a member to show up or anything, in fact they want as many people with vintage bikes to show as possible.  I know I take my 78 cb750 there regularly.

Click on the words Planet Georgetown for directions.

Puyallup???!?!?!?!
Im out in graham, but spend a fair amount of time down the hill(girlfriend, friends, whatever). Sucks the weather is crap again, hard to plan a ride. I've got a 77 Cb400f, running and riding. Needs a bit of work, but that's what rainy northwest winters are for. Actually got to take it out last night, with all the power out, roads were pretty bare.

Lemme know if anyone gets a ride together... E-burg isn't too far away!  I'm going to be tearing into my K5's engine soon so I'll be ready when spring comes!

Hey I am relatively new to the northwest, coming from the northeast.I also am looking for like minded people to ride with talk shop with etc.I am just north of bellingham(ferndale)And would like to start a local gathering.Seattle and Vancouver B.C. have great clubs and I am smack dab in between.I have a 46 acre farm with plenty of barns and out buildings for shelter for bikes,a great fire pit, even a couple of quads to play with,so I got the place just dont know anyone out here yet. Also the Ride up to artist point on Mt.baker is awesome,as well as chuckanut dr.

I'm pretty sure that the VME Vashon Island ride is coming up soon.  Although I don't know what the date of it is, I'm hoping to fine out this coming Wednesday which is the first Wednesday of the month.  That is when the VME meets at Planet Georgetown here in George Town.

Good luck finding out... I know the VME group holds that information from "Nonmembers", but if you do manage to get someone to spill the beans, please do share.

Anyone going to the TT on Vashon Island next weekend (Sept. 7th)? What time are you folks planning on taking the ferry over? What time does the poker run start.

Let me know, I'm considering heading over on my '08 Bonneville T100.

Chris

I usually try to hit up the first or second boat out in the morning. This way you can sit and eat breakfast in downtown Vashon, and watch all the bikes roll in! I'll be there, but I'll be coming in from the Tacoma end... ;)

The South Sound chapter of the VME meets every third thursday of the month.
I've been looking for somewhere to hold a meeting for SOHCer's in the south sound...If you have a suggestion, let me know!

Do any of you guys go to the Oyster Run in Anacortes? In the the last 3 years I've seen one 750 and that was a beautiful yellow F model. I'll hang my head in shame because we're on the Goldwing, the wife is cramped on the 750 and little room for luggage.
Cheers,
Cliff.

I've been in the area on the day of the run but never ridden in it.  It probably goes without saying on Chuckanut Dr. but be careful... There have been 2 deaths in the last month or so on that road, the most recent being today.  I believe someone crashed and died in last years Oyster run as well.

Thanks Aaron for the head's up. We did drive Chuckanut one previous year and had I not been following my very cautious friend on his Road King, I'm sure my ST1100 would have been off the road. It's wild.
The Run itself is fun, noisy and great for people watching. This will be our 4'th year. If you go look for a dark orange Goldwing with BC plates. That will be us.
Cheers,
Cliff.

I'll be going up to the Oyster Run, I don't know what I'll be riding up yet...It'll either be a 750, or my R75/6
